How StarGrid differs from paper Star Battle
The rules are identical to the puzzles in a book or newspaper: stars in every row, column and region, none touching. If you can solve one on paper you can solve one in StarGrid.
On paper you rub out mistakes and lose the grid to smudges. In StarGrid you tap a cell to cycle between empty, a dot for ruled out, and a star, so working notes are as easy as the answer.
Every StarGrid puzzle is built to have one solution that can be reached by logic alone. The puzzles come in difficulty tiers, so you can step up from the easy grids to the hardest 10x10 ones.
StarGrid is free to download with a one-time unlock, no ads and no subscription. If you prefer paper, the printable StarGrid sheet has three puzzles from the game with the answers on the same page.
